FAQ

Who builds my guitar?

An independent maker builds it by hand from the design you agree together. GuitarHub coordinates your order and your questions. The maker is the seller.

What can I configure?

Body shape, woods, colours and finish, hardware, pickups and inlays, all in the 3D configurator. The maker checks your design for a practical build.

Is designing free?

Yes. The configurator is free and needs no account. You only pay when you want your guitar built.

Is my design the final specification?

It is the starting point. The maker reviews it, tells you if anything needs to change, and names the final price and timing before you commit.

How much is the deposit?

$49, taken as a hold at checkout. The $49 deposit is a hold on your card, not a charge. It's released when you pay for the guitar, or automatically after 7 days.

When do I pay the rest?

After the maker's review, you pay once for the guitar plus shipping, in full. The $49 deposit is not deducted because it was never charged, only held.

How long does a build take?

The maker names the timing for your design in the review, before you make the final payment.

How do I follow the build?

You get photo updates by email and on your order page.

Can I cancel or get a refund?

Yes, before the final payment: write to us and your deposit hold is released. After the final payment your guitar is custom-made, so the order cannot be cancelled. See Payments & refunds.

What if something is wrong when it arrives?

Report transit damage within 7 days with photos. For manufacturing defects you keep your statutory rights. See Warranty & care.
